Wilko shoppers rush to Wilko sale with up to 80% off as 29 stores set to close today | The Sun

MORE than 29 Wilko shops are set to close their doors for good today as the retailer marks the end of an era.

The much-loved retailer will cease to be a fixture on the British high street by the end of this week, as shoppers rush to grab the remaining few deals on shelves.

Many stores have already shut down and the last remaining ones will close their doors on Sunday, October 8.

Customers have posted the great deals going in the remaining stores, with some locations offering a stunning 40 to 80% off.

One customer shared: "Get yourselves to Norwich Wilko store… lights £5, floating shelves £3, dog stuff 75p. All sorts of shampoos, shaving gels are 50p to £1.50.

"Loads of bargains to be had quick."

New lease of life for former Wilko stores reopening as Poundland

The Norwich branch is set to close its doors at the end of day today, meaning the deals won't last.

Wilko was founded in 1930 and the chain has remained in the ownership of the Wilkinsons family since then.

Sadly the popular discounter collapsed on August 10 after failing to find a buyer for the business.

Administrators did agree a sale of the retailer's brand name and website to The Range so the brand name will live on.
