Gavin and Stacey icons James Corden and Ruth Jones have made a rare appearance together while out and about in London.
The pair played the iconic Nessa Jenkins and unforgettable Smithy in the BBC sitcom that they also penned. The show originally ran for three series between 2007 and 2010 before returning for a one-hour special nine years later.
Fans last saw James and Ruth on-screen together in the last Christmas special episode aired in 2019. In typical Gavin and Stacey fashion, the show ended on a cliffhanger when Nessa popped the question to Smithy.

As expected, fans have been longing for a new series of the smash hit award-winning show. Especially as James has now relocated back to the UK, following his stint in the States.
And on Tuesday (November 7) James and Ruth reunited for an outing in Soho, London. In exclusive pictures shared with Daily Star, James and Ruth can be seen laughing together while taking a stroll.
Beaming alongside one another, the pair seemed to put the world to right as they chatted on the street. At one point, the TV favourites looked deep in conversation.
James kept his look cool and casual, wearing a navy blue jumper and jeans. Meanwhile Ruth, whose character Nessa rocked a jet black bob, looked totally different with the actress showing off her new honey blonde locks.
Back in April, James admitted he had met up with Ruth where they discussed a fourth series of Gavin and Stacey. He revealed to The Sun : "In truth, Ruth and I met up at Christmas.
“And I know it will be a disappointment, but we didn’t talk about it in life-growing forms. It is whether we decide to get into a room together and honestly I could not tell you what the chances are of that. We both have to be ready and right."
Meanwhile fellow Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page, who played Stacey, has also revealed she’s keen for a new series. Earlier this year, the Welsh star joined forces with her on-screen in-laws Larry Lamb and Alison Steadman – who play Gavin’s parents Mick and Pam Shipman – for a travel TV series.

Joanna provided the voiceover for the series – which will see the telly legend’s journey from Barry to Billericay. She told The Sun that she hoped the new travel show could spark a full reunion with the cast That would be so lovely. When we all first started it was like an instant family. We’re all still constantly in touch with each other.
"My gosh we send each other so many messages. We struggle to even make time for our own families. But then I agree, we have GOT to find out what Smithy says to Nessa!”
In the new three-part series, Alison & Larry: Billericay To Barry, the show alum’s take a trip down memory lane. All while meeting up with some special guests along the way.
