Love Island winner Sammy Root hasn’t ruled out returning to the ITV2 dating show following his split with fellow winner Jess Harding.

Loyal fans of the infamous dating show will remember how the Essex hunk won the hearts of the nation when he entered the villa this summer. It didn’t take long before he fell for the blonde beautician, with fans gripped to their rollercoaster romance throughout the show.

After six weeks together in the villa, the pair went on to steal the show after they were crowned the winners of the 10th series. The couple beat runner ups Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki and Ella Thomas and Tyrique Hyde for the coveted title.

However, their spark soon fizzled out as the pair confirmed they had broken up just weeks after they landed back in the UK. But that hasn’t deterred the reality star from returning to the Spanish villa in the future.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Star, the hunk teased that he would “love” to return to the show on one condition. When asked if he would try and find love on the show again in the future, he told us: “Yeah that’s definitely something I'd love to do.

“I’d go back in a heartbeat, maybe not as a contestant but I’d love to be a presenter. I mean, you know, it’s one of those things where even on Love Island, it was so out of the ordinary for me and I enjoyed it so much.

“So I mean I'm quite an open person and I'd be up for trying quite a few different things.” Love Island isn’t the only show that the TV star has set his eyes on, as he revealed that he also has quite the talent for ice skating.

He confessed: “Dancing on Ice that would definitely be one that I’d love to do because I love it, my mum loves it and I love ice skating. I’ve got one of my friends used to play ice hocket for England so I sort of grew up doing a little bit around him.

“So I'm decent at it. I reckon I’ve got Dancing on Ice in the bag and I can move as well, I can dance. So I'm not afraid, I reckon I’d do alright. Bring it on.”

The final show at the top of his wish list is I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! which is set to return to our screens next month. Sammy added: “I’m a Celeb, I mean obviously I'd love to do that.

“I’m afraid of bugs but it’d be nice to sort of see if I could challenge that and get over it, you never know. So yeah, those ones in particular are definitely at the top of my list.”

It comes after the hunk confessed to Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks that he’d be willing to appear on Celebs Go Dating in the future. The ITV winner joined the dynamic duo on their podcast Staying Relevant, where he hinted how he would love to do more TV work.

He admitted: “I really enjoy being on TV. Yeah, so maybe some more TV work.” Former contestants Pete and Sam immediately suggested he would be a great contestant for the next series of the E4 dating program.

Sammy teased: “Possibly”, hinting that he’d be open to the idea of finding love on the show next year. Going on to talk about his newfound fame since leaving the villa, he went on: “You can see it as just being on TV. Everyone knows who you are, but also just staying relevant as in making a career out of something you want to do.”
