Peter Andre spills on emotional rollercoaster as wife Emily is rushed to A&E

Peter Andre has opened up for the first time about the "emotional rollercoaster" he and his wife Emily have been on with their third child pending.

The 50-year-old has revealed that things haven't been plain sailing during their most recent pregnancy. With the doctor – who is carrying his baby – having already made a number of "worrying" trips to hospital.

On one occasion, Peter was readying himself to go on stage for his most recent role in Grease, when he received an alarming phone call saying "Emily's been rushed to A&E". Obviously the singer raced to be at her side, missing the performance.

However, that didn't appear to be the only occasion that the pair had feared the safety of their unborn child. The Mysterious Girl singer added that there had been a "couple of emergency stops".

Speaking to OK! Magazine about the pregnancy so far, Peter confessed: "It's been an emotional roller coaster for Emily but she never complains, she just gets on with it. There’ve been a couple of accident and emergency stops along the way."

He went on: "I was due to go on stage in Grease in the West End and I got a call saying, Emily's been rushed to A&E. It was really worrying and obviously I immediately went to support her, but thankfully everything was OK."

Pete and Emily have been married for eight years, with the couple already sharing Amelia, nine, and six-year-old Theo together. With the pair united on keeping their children out of the spotlight.

However, the reality TV star does share two other children – son Junior, 18, and 16-year-old Princess with ex-wife Katie Price – who he met on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2004.

Unlike his children with doctor Emily, Junior and Princess do tend to appear in the public eye quite often. With Peter's eldest son even bringing out his own music.

Taking on the role of music manager to his son, proud father Peter gushed over his eldest's achievements as begins to follow in the same foot steps, he said at the time: "Son I’m so proud of you it’s unreal. Since we went to the studio that day you have not stopped. Every single day and night you graft for your craft.

"You are humble and kind and I can’t wait for everyone to hear the songs. Get ready everyone. I’m right beside you the whole way. You are my first experience at management so I hope me and the team help get it right."
