Alison Hammond says she’d have McDonald’s at her wedding

Alison Hammond made a marriage admission after being asked about what her wedding day would look like on This Morning.

The 48-year-old was covering a segment about having fast food on a wedding day and Alison gave viewers an insight into her own big day.

When her co-host Dermot, 50, asked her which food she would have at her wedding, she responded: “Definitely nuggets, I’d have chicken fillets, definitely chips.

“I’d have all the little sauces. I’d definitely have McFlurry and apple pie.”

Dermot interjected: “Can you imagine a massive apple pie as your wedding cake?” which sent Alison into a fit of giggles.

The Great British Bake Off presenter went on to reveal another key feature she wants on her big day.

She continued: “The McFlurry machine will be in the background so you can just help yourself, pour it on.”

Alison ended her wedding menu requests by saying she would also like to have crisps on her big day.

“Do you know what else I’d have? Definitely at my wedding, crisps! I’d definitely have crisps,” she quipped.

The ITV star previously opened up about her changing attitude to committing to a partner and getting married.

The mum-of-one revealed she had previously gotten cold feet about the prospect of marriage but now wants to “let go” of her trepidation.

She confessed: “I think as soon as I hear the word marriage, I get cold feet.

“I think I’m just one of those people. I always think there’s something better but get a bit nervous to know ‘that is it’.

“I just feel like I’m tied down and I don’t like it, when really and truly I’m getting to that age now where I think, ‘Alison, let go – it’s OK to settle down’,” she added to Gyles Brandreth on his Rosebud podcast.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
