Amanda Abbington has issued a statement after her exit from Strictly Come Dancing was confirmed.
The actress shared a photo of her dancing shoes and said it was with "deepest regret" that she had to leave the show. "I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons I am unable to continue," she added.
Amanda, 49, continued: "It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside. I want to thank the incredible production team and everyone on Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. It’s a wonderful bunch of people and I’ll miss all of them."

"I’m so sad that I am unable to go any further. Thank you to everyone who voted and who sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all amazing. Truly. Thank you. xxx."
Amanda was hit with support as contestants and professionals rushed to the comments, with Nancy Xu writing: "Sending you all the love." Karen Hauer added: "Love you."
Daily Star exclusively revealed Amanda's exit from Strictly on Monday night after the star had faced a number of setbacks. She had previously been forced to pull out of Saturday's live show due to medical reasons.
The news was later confirmed on It Takes Two as Fleur East said: "Amanda Abbington is unable to continue Strictly Come Dancing and has decided to withdraw from the competition. The show wishes her all the best for the future."
Her professional partner Giovanni Pernice issued a statement shortly after the news was confirmed. He wrote on his Instagram: "Amanda… I am so sad we can't continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love."
Amanda missed last week's live show and cited health issues as Janette Manrara revealed on It Takes Two that she would be missing out on the show. Hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly later shared their well-wishes to Amanda as they kicked off another week on the show.
Contestants will now be heading into Halloween Week as they attempt to stay in the competition for another week.
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday night on BBC One.
