Annabel Croft opens up about ‘maternal’ relationship with Strictly partner
Annabel Croft on cooking for Strictly’s Johannes Radebe
Annabel Croft and her Strictly Come Dancing professional dance partner Johannes Radebe joined host Janette Manrara on this week’s Strictly: It Takes Two where she opened up about their relationship.
After Janette mentioned that the tennis star had been “very maternal with Johannes,” Annabel detailed how she and her dance partner have bonded since they were first paired together a number of weeks ago.
She outlined: “I’ve cooked a little bit for Johannes.”
Annabel also touchingly spoke about how she tried to take care of Johannes when he was “feeling a little bit under the weather”.
She revealed: “I’m trying to make sure that he drinks enough water and then lots of vitamins and minerals and zinc. All sorts of different lotions and potions – vitamin C, vitamin D.”

The former professional athlete also remarked: “I’ve got to look after him.”
Annabel has two daughters, Amber and Lily, as well as a son named Charlie.
The Wimbledon presenter admitted that her youngest daughter had been making packed lunches for her and Johannes every day too.
The family had to deal with the sudden loss of their father and Annabel’s husband, Mel Coleman, after he died earlier this year following a short battle with cancer.

Upon signing up for Strictly Come Dancing, Annabel mentioned that her husband “absolutely loved” the BBC reality dancing show.
She added: “He used to call me over if I was cooking, and he was crying watching it. So, I hope he’s watching.”
The dance partners have been steadily moving up the leaderboard, with last weekend’s Movie Week Waltz to Moon River by Audrey Hepburn, from the iconic Breakfast At Tiffany’s, providing them with their best score yet. They received a total of 30 points, putting them fifth on the leaderboard behind the likes of Bobby Brazier, Ellie Leach, Eddie Kadi and Angela Scanlon.
This Saturday they will be performing a lively Jive to Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man.
Fans will need to tune in to see how the remaining couples fare this weekend, with another duo set to depart following Sunday night’s dreaded dance-off.
Strictly Come Dancing airs Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One.
