BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty forced to apologise after technical blunder
Naga Munchetty apologises over sound issues in report
BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty was forced to apologise to the broadcaster’s viewers after they suffered a technical blunder whilst talking to their co-star. The show’s weatherman Matt Taylor was in Country Durham this morning to present the weather forecast and give an insight into the Beamish Museum.
He was walking the Victorian Streets and taking a look at the historical shops they had paraded around. However, the BBC star suffered a technical blunder after the cameras and sound shut off mid-way through an interview, leaving Naga to apologise for the issue.
After saying goodbye to Mike Bushell who was at Alexandra Palace for the World Darts championships, the pair handed over to Matt.
Naga stated: “I don’t know how Matt is going to top that, he is at the Beamish museum in Country Durham and he has been dressing up for us all morning, I am sure he will continue to do so.”
Laughing, Matt exclaimed: “Oh I hate to disappoint Naga, but good morning to you. We are at the Beamish Museum of History of the North East.

“We are on the streets which date to the 1900’s, and coming up the street now is Martin who is delivering all the treats from the shop here.”
As Matt attempted to introduce his guest to the show, the cameras cut out along with the sound and left the viewers at home watching a blank screen.
Back at the studio, Naga apologised: “Mike? Apologies there are some technical problems with Matt in County Durham. I think he is back, hi Matt!”
Matt was brought back onto the screen along with his guest who explained why Beamish was there and what history they were celebrating.

As the interview came to an end and Matt finished his weather report, Naga added back in the studio: “Matt thanks so much.
“We will see you later and well done with them technical issues! Those Gremlins in the place!”
The show and Matt later suffered yet another technical issue during his weather report, with the picture and sound cutting in and out.
For the second time, Naga apologised: “Apologies, we had a little bit of… the Gremlins are bothering Matt today aren’t they, a little one there! But we got most of it.”
