BBC EastEnders taken off air in major TV shake-up
EastEnders: The Six – Revealed teased in BBC trailer
With under a week to go until EastEnders fans get to find out the victim of the Christmas Day death, eagle-eyed viewers have been watching for clues. However, it looks as though they’ll have to wait a little longer as the show has had a schedule change.
Usually, the long-running BBC soap airs between Monday to Thursday from 7.30pm. Although this week’s Tuesday instalment has been axed.
It comes as the broadcaster has made some schedule changes to allow for BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards. The annual event will start at 7pm and run for two hours, which cuts into EastEnders’ usual air time.
Instead, fans will have to wait until Wednesday night for the next episode. As Tuesday’s instalment has been cancelled, EastEnders will now also air on Friday night.
A synopsis of the next episode teases there’s drama ahead as Suki Paneer (played by Balvinder Sopal) puts a dangerous plan into action. It comes after her husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry) was involved in Eve’s (Heather Peace) disappearance.

Convincing Nish that Eve was dead, her abrupt disappearance sparked concern for Suki and her best friend Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).
Believing that her husband is involved in whatever has happened to Eve, could Suki’s plan for Nish be connected to the Christmas Day death?
In February this year, the soap treated fans to a flash-forward episode where six of the female Walford residents were in The Vic over a dead body.
However, the identity of the victim along with the person responsible for killing him has remained a secret.
Recently, EastEnders revealed seven potential people who could meet a deadly demise over the festive period, one of which includes Nish.
Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) and Ravi Gulati ( (Aaron Thiara) are all in the mix along with Dean Wicks ( Matt Di Angelo), Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) and Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
EastEnders continues Wednesday 20 on BBC One from 7.30pm.
