BBC Strictly’s Adam Thomas pulls off ‘best dance yet’ after major health battle
Adam Thomas is taking the dancefloor by storm in this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing. However, the actor was forced to pull out from spin-off show It Takes Two on Friday after it was revealed he had been unwell over recent days.
In tonight's episode though the 35-year-old was back fighting fit and even performed his 'best' dance yet, according to both the judges and fans.
Adam, known for his roles in Emmerdale and Waterloo Road, is paired up with professional dancer Luba Mushtuk, and performed an American smooth to Magic Moments by Perry Como for Halloween week, and fans rushed to X, formerly Twitter, to praise him.
"Adam and Luba seem to have clicked, simply magical tonight, it had everything. So smooth and clean, marvellous," one wrote.
Another said, "Adam is definitely the most improved in the competition and this what we like to see!! This was their best dance and absolutely love watching their partnership together."
A third penned, "A great dance by Adam especially as he's not been in great health this week," while a fourth said, "wonderful moves from Adam."
And it appears the judges, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas, thought so too as he received scores of 7, 8, 9 and 8 respectively.
Following reports earlier this week that he may be forcedto miss the show due to health concerns, Adam's wife Caroline appeared to confirm the star would be participating.
On Saturday afternoon his wife Caroline took to Instagram to reveal she'd attended Strictly rehearsals alongside the couple's two children Teddy and Elsie-Rose, hinting that the dad-of-two will be taking to the dance floor after all. It was then shared by Adam.
"SCD week 6 rehearsals here we come," mum-of-two Caroline captioned a photo of her with Elsie-Rose and Teddy, as they got ready to presumably go and visit Adam at Elstree Studios.
This comes after he had to cancel his an appearance on It Takes Two on Friday with host Fleur East saying he was feeling "under the weather".
Fleur announced Adam's absence on 27 October, saying: "Unfortunately, Adam's feeling a bit under the weather but please welcome the lovely Luba."
Adam's dance partner Luba was asked by Fleur how Adam was doing. Luba replied: "He (Adam) is resting now, he just hasn't felt very well, but he is resting and getting ready for tomorrow night so everything will be fine."
