Big Brother 7 legend Glyn Wise now – major career change and finding faith

Big Brother legend Glyn Wise was remembered for his entry into the house wearing only a pair of lifeguard shorts.

The Welsh contestant was one of the show's ever youngest stars at just 18, and came runner up to winner Pete Bennett in the controversial 2006 series. He won viewers over with his sweet gaffes such as learning how to cook an egg for the first time.

Almost two decades on and, at 35, Glyn's life could not be more different from back then – nor his appearance. Sporting a shaved head and goatee he looks a far cry from the bleached haired teen that viewers adored.

After being on the show with the late Nikki Grahame he was plunged into a celebrity world modelling for Calvin Klein and hanging out with Hollywood star Catherine Zeta-Jones. Now Glyn is back in his native Wales and has been accepted for Ordained Ministry with the church.

He wrote on social media: "Done it! I've been accepted for Ordained Ministry with the Church in Wales." The career move is a natural step for him from attending Sunday School as a child.

While travelling in South East Asia as a teacher he went to church and was asked if he would like to try Bible study class. His faith grew and he said he wanted to show how the bible and God gave his life relevance.

"The pastor or priest was talking and I felt like everything he was saying was directly to me and what was amazing was they were bringing the Bible into 2022 making relevance to every walk of life and that's what I'd like to bring forward." He said faith had even led him to be on the show.

"I was a massive Big Brother fan. I bought all the books, the game. I prayed and wished, every wish was that I would go into the house and it came true."

Glyn is still friends with his Big Brother house mates from that time including his Welsh co-star Imogen Thomas and recently enjoyed a reunion in Brighton with Pete Bennett.
