Big Brother star slams ‘d***head’ Kerry for ‘offensive’ slur and blasts ITV
Former Big Brother contestant Nicola McLean has blasted housemate Kerry after she came under fire for an “offensive” comment.
Celeb Big Brother beauty McLean minced no words as she expressed her opinion on the incident, which saw The NHS worker from Essex reprimanded by ITV bosses for her use of the word “gay” during a recent task. Kerry was frustrated after a prank resulted in spilt water on her camping pillow.
"This is gay," she complained, before sitting down and continuing the conversation. Though the comment was broadcast on the show’s live feed on Sunday (15 October), it was not included in the main nightly programme.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Nicola said: "I don't think she should get removed because I think that that is quite harsh," McLean began. "What I do think is, especially in these Big Brother seasons where we're pioneering and having conversations that we weren't having before, it should be aired. Big Brother should explain to her what she said and why it's bad so that everyone can understand."
Nicola explained that the use of derogatory language, specifically targeting the LGBTQ+ community was incredibly offensive. "I find it so offensive. It really p***es me off,"** McLean emphasized. She acknowledged that phrases like the one in question are common among teenagers but stresses the importance of teaching the younger generation about the hurtful nature of such expressions.
"If you're saying something in a negative way, it's gay. You are then saying being gay is a negative thing." A spokesperson for Big Brother said: “Kerry was brought to the diary room to discuss her inappropriate use of language.

“Big Brother reminded Kerry of her respect and inclusion training prior to entering the House and the consequences of any further use of offensive language. Kerry understood and apologised for any offence caused.”
Regarding Kerry's accountability for her actions, Nicola commented: "She got in trouble for that. So I think that if it's going to be out there in the public domain that she said it, then it should be aired. People should see how she's been educated and then observe her reaction.
Sharing her personal feeling on Kerry, she added: "I'm not keen on her, so it's a bit I was a bit gutted that she wasn't up for eviction. Her tantrums as well, they are like she's copying people from other previous series – she's been just a bit of a d*head really.”
