Brian Conley lands new role after quitting EastEnders and rubbishing feud claims
Brian Conley has already lined up his next gig following his departure from EastEnders, with the comedian set to go on tour.
The actor, who plays Rocky, will tour the UK, stopping by eight venues in total between September and March, with more dates set to be announced in due course.
Word of his show, which is titled The 3rd Farewell Tour… To Date, came shortly after reports in the media which stated that Brian would be leaving EastEnders after two years as Rocky Cotton, with claims of tension behind the scenes.
Brian subsequently confirmed that he would, in fact, be leaving the popular soap – which is enjoying one of its finest periods in recent memory, scooping trophy after trophy – but shot down the claims of feuds with bosses.
‘Now you may have heard reports that I am leaving EastEnders, and it was a tough decision but it is true – I am going, and I made the decision for many reasons,’ he said in a video posted on his social media account.
‘It is tough because there’s such a wonderful crowd in front of the camera and behind, and I loved my three years there.

‘As to truths in the reports, there are parts saying I clashed with TV bosses and the crews, I didn’t clash with anyone or go on a rant.
‘I have gone with their blessings at the Beeb and I am excited for the future and where it’s going to go.
EastEnders also confirmed reports of Brian’s exit, with a spokesperson similarly debunking claims of trouble behind-the-scenes.
‘There is absolutely no truth in any claims of a feud with bosses and the show fully support Brian in his decision to leave which was made some time ago.
‘We wish him the best of luck for the future as we continue to work towards his exit storyline which has been in the works for some time.’
Fans have already started speculating in regards to how Rocky will be written out of EastEnders, with some wondering if he could be the victim of the Christmas murder, which was teased in a flash-forward sequence earlier this year.
