Channel 4 confirms beloved comedy with The Inbetweeners legend is returning to screens next year | The Sun
THE Inbetweeners star Simon Bird's Channel 4 comedy series has been renewed for season two.
Everyone Else Burns boasts an all-star cast with several famous faces you are sure to recognise.
Simon Bird is best known for playing Will McKenzie in the E4 comedy The Inbetweeners.
He appeared in Channel 4 television series as David Lewis, alongside Death in Paradise's Kate O'Flynn as Fiona Lewis.
They have two children, 17-year-old Rachel and 12-year-old Aaron.
Everyone Else Burns follows the Lewis family, who are devoted members of a religious cult.

They strongly believe that judgement day is just around the corner and so take it upon themselves to save as many souls as they can from eternal damnation.
Speaking about the new series, Simon told This Morning: "I think religion is really a metaphor in it, it's a very universal family sitcom. It's about kids dealing with overbearing parents and parents dealing with kids who have different principles and priorities to their own."
The official synopsis for season two says: "Jaded by the collapse of her university dreams (and 40 miserable days of 'penance'), Rachel's journey to independence will face new obstacles as old family secrets come to light."
"Meanwhile, Fiona's (Kate O’Flynn) world will be turned on its head when she's brought face-to-face with someone from her past that she's desperate to forget.

"Aaron (Harry Connor) will unleash his inner Moses against the 'snake' at the top of the Chapter in a revolutionary bid to drag The Order into the present day.
"Finally, David (Simon Bird), disastrously, will decide to be a 'good Dad'. He'll also have to deal with an unprecedented new experience: a woman who's earnestly interested in him."
Channel 4 Commissioning Editor Laura Riseam said: "I'm elated that the Lewis family have (so far) survived eternal damnation for long enough in order to deliver another series of the excellent Everyone Else Burns for Channel 4 viewers.

Filming for the second season is expected to begin next year, but no premiere date has been announced yet.
All six episodes of the first season of Everyone Else Burns is available to stream on All4.
