Coronation Street chaos as actors are forced off set and have to abandon filming | The Sun

CORONATION Street filming was thrown into chaos this week as actors were forced to abandon the set.

Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor in Coronation Street, took to Instagram to reveal they'd been affected by the drastic turn in weather.

Sharing a snap of her covering up with a huge umbrella, Samia wrote: "Rained off on the cobbles this morning… great start to a Monday."

The UK is currently being battered by the aftermath of Hurricane Lee, with the Met Office issuing yellow weather warnings for rain for two days straight in parts of the country.

Forecasters added that between 50mm and 100mm of rain could fall in the areas which were issued yellow warnings.

They warned homes and businesses are likely to flood, and electricity could be affected.
