Coronation Street’s Ed Bailey (played by Trevor Michael Georges) may slip back into old habits as he continues a new business venture with brother Ronnie (Vinta Morgan)
Over the past few weeks, fans of the ITV soap have seen the duo involved in a property development project.
However, Ronnie has been going behind Ed’s back after speaking to Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), who urged him to invest money in Newton and Ridley shares.
Knowing the return would be huge which could help their business Ronnie agreed, despite insider dealings being a criminal offence.
Speaking to Henry Newton last week, he tried to persuade him to accept Waterfords’ offer, knowing he’d get a huge cash return.

Although when Henry stated he’d never mentioned Waterfords, he demanded to know where he got the insider information from.
Official spoilers reveal Ronnie goes into a panic next week as he admits to Debbie he’s slipped up, admitting to Henry Newton he knew about the Waterfords deal before it was officially announced.
However, trying to calm him down, Debbie assures him it’s all going to be ok as she deleted the picture of the contract from her phone.
Later on, Ronnie gives Ed his personal bank card for the business account meaning their property project can start soon.

However, as he gets the card, Ed tries to mask his unease with having control over so much money due to his past troubles.
Ronnie tells his brother half of the money from the shares will be going into that account, which means his wife Aggie (Lorna Laidlaw) will never find out what they’re up to.
Putting on a brave face, Ed assured Ronnie he could trust him with the responsibility of the money.
However, will temptation take over for Ed which could see him slip back into old habits?
Fans will know that Ed used to suffer from a huge gambling addiction, which resulted in him using the family’s money.
The Bailey’s moved to Weatherfield in 2019 after they were forced to downsize from their previous home in Alderley Edge due to Ed getting them in debt
Now holding power over so much money, will Ed’s gambling addiction slowly return?
