Danny Dyer ‘tipped’ to join I’m A Celebrity as EastEnders co-star drops clue

Charlie Brooks would ‘pay’ to see Danny Dyer on I’m A Celeb

Charlie Brooks, who played the notorious Janine Carter in EastEnders has alluded that her former co-star Danny Dyer, who played Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter in the BBC soap, might be taking part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.

Mum-of-one Charlie, who won the show in 2012, hinted at his participation during an appearance on Loose Women.

“I would pay money, a lot of money, to see Danny Dyer in that shower, and he will kill me for saying that,” she laughed.

She also acknowledged that there were rumours he would appear on the show last year and despite his protestations, no one believed that he wasn’t going to be on it.

When asked by Kaye Adams which jungle tasks she would like to see him undertake, she didn’t hesitate before answering: “Eat sheep’s testicles, balls or something.”

Danny’s is the latest name to be linked to the show, although the line up has yet to be officially revealed by ITV who previously told Express.co.uk: “Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity are just speculation. We’ll announce our line up in due course.”

Former JLS star Marvin Humes is also reportedly in the running to appear.

The star, who rose to fame on The X Factor, is believed to have his wife’s backing to appear on the ITV reality series hosted by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.

This comes days after This Morning host Josie Gibson was also rumoured to be taking part, as well as Coronation Street star Alan Halsall.

Meanwhile, Love Island star Gemma Owen has fuelled speculation that she too is joining the series, as she shared on Instagram that she was on a plane to Australia, but didn’t reveal why she’s visiting the country.

One well known name who has openly addressed appearing on the programme is former UKIP Leader Nigel Farage.

He spoke about a possible appearance during his GB News show on Monday.

The former politician said he’s given “very serious consideration” to ITV’s reported offer, “unlike previous years”.

He added: “I will tell you why – you have got about 10 million young people every night who watch that programme.”
