EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley reveals she's going to Hollywood after soap exit | The Sun

EASTENDERS star Lorraine Stanley has revealed she's going to Hollywood after her soap exit.

In July, The Sun on Sunday exclusively revealed how Lorraine's character Karen Taylor was being written out of the BBC soap as part of a cast shake-up.

Lorraine, 47, has been part of EastEnders since 2017 and previously revealed her shock at the news.

But now it seems she has gathered herself and figured out her next move post-EastEnders.

Earlier this month, Lorraine took to X – formerly Twitter – to share a post celebrating the news that the American actor's union SAG-AFTRA strike had been suspended.

She tweeted above the picture announcing the strike's suspension after months of protests: "Making history! can’t wait to get back out there!"

Lorraine opened up about the shock moment she received the phone call telling her that she would be axed.

The actress told us: "I was sad, it was a mix of emotions, it's sad but it's exciting as now I can go and do what I want.

"You can get a bit relaxed there and a bit comfortable. So I want to be out of my comfort zone."

EastEnders airs on BBC One and is available on BBC iPlayer.
