Emmerdale favourite Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) bids farewell to the village this week.
Actress Samantha Giles confirmed her departure from the ITV soap during her recent appearance on This Morning and her final scenes are set to air on Tuesday (November 14) after running up a £20,000 debt in her sister Nicola King (Nicola Wheelers) name.
Bernice's scam was revealed when bailiffs emptied Nicola's home of any goods worth taking to cover the debt. Cowardly Bernice fled the village and left a note confessing to her crimes leaving Nicola devastated.

However, she later returned but was later caught out by her unforgiving sister Nicola and was seen leaving the village in the back of a taxi. As Bernice falls out with her sister, Daily Star has taken a look back at Samantha's feuds away from the dales, including standing up to a pesky poltergeist and apologising for slamming TOWIE star Gemma Collins.
Claire King
Kim Tate star Claire King and Bernice actress Samantha Giles are both Emmerdale icons. However, they have a long history together both on and off screen. While playing Kim, Claire met ex-husband Peter Amory, who played her stepson Chris Tate in the soap.
However, it was reported by The Mirror that their 10-year marriage broke down when it was revealed that Peter was having an affair with Samantha. Talking to The Mirror in 2005, Claire said: "I questioned Pete and he admitted it had been going on for a while.
"He told me it was over but then it started again. At that point I said: 'Well, you have to go with her then, because it obviously isn't going to stop.'" It is alleged that Claire had found out about the affair after Samantha's first husband Nick Moore wrote to her to inform them of their relationship. Speaking about the letter on Loose Women, Claire said that the affair was not Samantha's fault.
"She wanted that second chance, and I've been in that situation with my marriage. And I gave my husband Pete a second chance," she said. Two strikes you're out. People remain within a relationship that really they shouldn't sometimes and they could have got out. I think you have to move on and get on with your life."
Claire continued: "I found out about it through a letter from the girl's husband and my agent rang me saying 'There are bits and pieces in the paper'. It wasn't anything to do with her." However, Claire has said that she, Samantha and Peter are still close friends and are on good terms, telling The Mirror: "We were close and we'll always be mates."
Gemma Collins
Samantha caused quite a stir earlier this year, after she hit out at reality TV star Gemma Collins. The actress slammed the TOWIE icon as "talentless and revolting" during an interview with The Daily Star at the MEN Pride Of Manchester Awards.
"All these reality stars, I haven’t got a clue who they are!" said Samantha. "That Gemma Collins, I think I’d punch her if I ever came across her. I don’t know – how can someone so talentless and revolting have made so much money?" She added: "I wouldn’t mind if she’d give it away and did something good with it, but all she seems to do is put more sh** on her face and do her nails."
However, Gemma hit back at Samantha in a social media statement, asking followers to "be kind." Sharing the article, she said in an Instagram post: "#BeKind. I don't find someone wanting to punch me a joke.
"Nothing wrong with reality stars. We were all given an opportunity and we made the best out of it." Following the comments, Samantha also took to social media to apologise to Gemma for any hurt caused, saying her words were "taken out of context."
She tweeted: "I’m aware that comments I made on a press red carpet have been taken out of the context I meant them, so I’d like to apologise to Gemma. I'd like to apologised for my misjudged jokes which I honestly didn’t mean. I hope this apology is acceptable. Hands held up from me."

One of Samantha's most unusual 'feuds' was with a poltergeist in the home of a fellow Emmerdale star.mThe actress has spoken openly about practising Wicca witchcraft in real life, and said she once used her abilities to banish a poltergeist from the home of co-star Nicola Wheeler, who plays Nicola King in the soap.
Samantha told Soap From The Box podcast that she sensed a "stale energy" when she entered Nicola's home, after being asked by her friend to "Go upstairs and tell me what you think isn't right." The star explained: "I went to the door and I said, 'There's something here, I don't like it. It's some sort of stale energy, it's going through the wall."
After helping Nicola get rid of the pesky poltergeist, Samantha's battle with the ghoul did not stop there. Not long after, she also advised Emmerdale director Lee Salisbury, who lives next door to Nicola, to burn sage to get rid of the ghoul in his home too. The director revealed: "Me and Nicola live next door to each other and some bad stuff has gone into my bathroom that left her house. We've got loads of leaks in our bathroom at the moment!"
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV! and ITVX at 7.30pm
