Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ identity of Tom King’s attacker as they fear for Belle

Emmerdale: Tom drops the L-bomb on Belle

Emmmerdale’s Tom King (played by James Chase) got attacked on Thursday’s episode of the ITV soap before the culprits made off with his new sports car.

Earlier in the episode, Tom angered his girlfriend Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) after buying a new car and taking Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) for a spin in it.

Dawn suggested a double date after realising the gesture offended Belle, but the latter ended up leaving the venue when she realised everyone thought she was jealous.

Tom followed Belle outside and tried to smooth things over before matters got much worse.

He got a call from the veterinary surgery as he needed to go to work, but when he arrived home to grab his vet bag he was confronted by a man who ordered him to hand over his car keys.

Another thug emerged when Tom refused and they grabbed the keys before knocking the vet to the ground.

Tom ended up with a cut on his head as Belle arrived home and rushed to his side to check he was OK.

He refused to call for an ambulance and ended up snapping at Belle later on in the instalment.

This left fans speculating about the identity of the attack, with some fearing for Belle’s safety.

Taking to Twitter, Laura commented: “Tom knows who’s taken the car #emmerdale.”

Jamal added: “Tried to stop them? What part? Wouldn’t surprise me if this was staged. Tom King hasn’t shown his true colours yet.”

Linzi shared: “Got the feeling Tom knows who nicked his car. Insurance job.”

Dan said: “Tom must have known who attacked him #Emmerdale.”

Meanwhile, Dan penned: “That was wrong to speak to Belle like that Tom. #Emmerdale.”

Another viewer suggested: “Is Tom and Belle’s relationship going to turn abusive I wonder?”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
