Emmerdale’s Jacob Gallagher star, Joe-Warren Plant, has teased fans with an exciting update on his character.
Hinting that there’s romance on the horizon, the ITV soap star revealed viewers could see Jacob exploring some new relationships in an upcoming storyline.
Growing up over the past few months, the actor admitted Jacob’s newfound maturity means he’s ready to find someone.
Joe said: “He’s going to get out and explore some relationships.
“I think there’s possibly going to be a romance on the cards, it’s been a while since he’s had a girlfriend so it’s due.”

The actor told Digital Spy that although Jacob will still be focusing on his university studies, he wants to get out there.
Joe added: “He’s just trying to enjoy life, he’s been cooped up for too long playing video games.
“He’s going to get out and explore some relationships.”
Admitting it’s time for Jacob to take the next step to be with someone, he hinted viewers will see a romantic side to his character.

However, it looks as though romance will have to wait as the character is involved in some terrifying scenes next week.
Official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal Jacob attends a tasting event which could end in disaster.
After Victoria Sugden (played by Isabel Hodgins) mistakenly tells him there are no nuts on a slider, Jacob suffers from a severe allergic reaction.
Realising what’s happening, everyone sets out to try and find his Auto Adrenaline Injector.
As Jacob manages to indicate there’s one in his car, Victoria rushes to retrieve it before his reaction worsens.
Unable to find his pen, Jacob’s protective mum Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) struggles as he starts to weaken.
Later on, David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) rushes to the hospital after learning about his son’s reaction.
Ememrdale continues weekdays on ITV from 7:30pm
