Goggleboxs Ellie gets nasty surprise as baby son poos on her minutes into show

New mum Ellie Warner was given an unexpected surprise during the latest episode of Gogglebox when her young son Ezra pooed on her lap.

The popular Channel 4 show returned to screens for a brand new series on Friday night (September 8), with show regulars Ellie and her sister Izzi on top form.

But right at the beginning of the programme, things took a turn when baby Ezra presented the famous duo with an unpleasant gift.

Revealing the baby's accidents, Izzi said: "I heard it gurgle up," prompting a horrified Ellie to declare: "Yeah, he’s definitely pooing."

Soon after the little one could be heard farting, which led his amused mum and aunty to ask, "Is that funny?" before asking "Does that feel nice?"

Ellie then said: "Shall we go and give you back to Daddy now?"

New mum Ellie announced the arrival of Ezra, whom she shares wit boyfriend Nat, in June.

With the adorable exchange kickstarting the new series with a bang, viewers headed straight to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their joy over the returning series.

One spectator wrote: "At last a bit of good telly x fastest hour of the week,” exclaimed one delighted fan."

A second viewer also agreed and wrote: "You simply can not beat a bit of #Gogglebox on a Friday night.”

A third spectator said: "We have been waiting for this! Head over to Channel 4 and see your NTA winners in action NOW!"

While a fourth fan added: "So glad #Gogglebox is back…something decent to watch on telly."

The news comes after show favourites Stephen Webb and Daniel Lustig decided to quit the show.

Stephen, who has appeared on the Channel 4 programme since the first series, confirmed the couple's decision to part ways in a heartfelt Instagram post.

A statement regarding their departure was later released.

The statement read: "After a brilliant and illustrious time on Gogglebox, Stephen and Daniel have decided that now is the right time to explore life beyond the sofa and leave the show.

"As one of the original Goggleboxers, Stephen has entertained the nation with his hilarious quips since the show first started in 2013, sharing his opinions on the best and biggest TV events of the last ten years.

"We would like to thank him and Daniel for being utterly brilliant contributors to the show, and we wish them well with their future projects."
