Happy Valley star looks incredibly glam in throwback snap from 30 years ago
The One Show: Anne Reid pays tribute to Sarah Lancashire
Sarah Lancashire is known for several iconic roles, including the long-suffering Catherine Cawood in Happy Valley, but a resurfaced photograph of the actress shows her in a very different light.
Sarah’s Happy Valley character is troubled and over-stretched in her responsibilities, usually struggling with a stressful job and some traumatising situations.
Some photos snapped back in 1994 though depict a very glamorous Sarah, where she is estimated to be in her late 20s or early 30s.
She looks worlds away from her character on the popular BBC drama as she sports three elegant and dazzling outfits and poses for the camera.
In one, she is sporting a dark green gown as she lies against a chair and gazes ahead for the photo.

In another picture, Sarah stuns with a face full of dramatic makeup and a lacy black and blue dress.
Staring ahead at the camera, her blonde hair is styled in an updo.
The third snap shows Sarah wearing suit-like attire as he gives the camera a confident side-glance.
