House of the Dragon season 2 trailer has sickening scene – and fans warned
The explosive trailer for the new season of House of the Dragon has been released – and it’s going to horrify viewers.
Following a dramatic season one finale that concluded with that huge death, the upcoming season heightens the stakes with Rhaenyra and Alicent demanding blood for blood and fire to fire.
Showrunner Ryan Condal’s series, a prequel set 200 years before George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones, delves into the Dance of the Dragons, a brutal civil war within the Targaryen dynasty.
The new season picks up where the last left off, with grieving Rhaenyra looking out to Storm’s End, which is where her son Lucery’s was killed in the skies.

Back in King’s Landing, half-brother Aegon sits on the Iron Throne and begins to summon his armies.
However, there could be more internal fighting as one-eyed younger silbing Aemond is seen gazing up at the coveted throne.
Criston Cole, who switched allegianced and now fights for the Greens, is seen beheading a man for disloyalty, while the Hightowers march to battle.
Of course there are lots more dragons, with new characters come forward to claim the riderless dragons.

“There is no war so hateful to the gods as a war between kin,” Rhaenys Targaryen says. “And no war so bloody as a war between dragons.”
We also see brother turn on brother as the Cargyll twins, who have taken opposing sides in the war, fight at Dragonstone.
But the most terrifying moment teased in the trailer is when Helaena is attacked by a pair called Blood and Cheese.
We won’t spoil it here, but book readers will know that she is forced to make a devastating decision.
