Frankie Dettori has reportedly landed in Australia amid rumours he is taking part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

According to Metro, 52-year-old jockey took to social media to confirm he’d landed in Australia in the early hours on Monday morning.

Frankie confirmed on Sunday that he was gearing up to board a plane from California to Melbourne.

As reported by The Mirror, he told fans on social media: “Hi everyone, I am here in California at the moment.

“I will get on the plane after racing, I’m coming to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup.

“Unfortunately, this year I’m suspended, so I can ride but I will support the Melbourne Cup carnival for the week, see some old friends riding and have a smashing time at the racing.

“Hopefully we see some good winners, so make sure you come and see us.”

He was spotted later starting his media duties at the prestigious Melbourne Cup meeting in Australia.

Typically, I’m A Celebrity contestants arrive Down Under about a week before the show is scheduled to start.

The sportsman is among the many speculated names who have signed up for this year’s series of the popular ITV reality show.

A source recently told The Sun: “Frankie is excited for the jungle but is just worried about who will do his hair while he is there!”

Express has previously been told by an ITV spokesperson: “Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity are speculation.”

While no official names have been confirmed yet, the rumour mill is whirling with a mixture of potential celebrities.

From soap stars to former Prime Ministers, the speculated line-up this year is extremely varied.

Among the speculated names include Alex Beresford, Love island star Olivia Atwood, Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall, former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson and many more.

Former Prime Minster Liz Truss is also a contender after former Health Secretary Matt Hancock shocked fans by taking part in last year’s series.

A source reportedly told The Sun: “High-level politicians are virtually guaranteed to create controversy in the camp – which equates to compulsive viewing for fans at home.”
