ITV I’m A Celeb viewers in stitches at Sam Thompson as they back him to win
I’m A Celebrity viewers were left in stitches in tonight’s episode, 3 December, thanks to Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson. Fans headed straight to social media, predicting he will be crowned King of the Jungle next weekend.
Sam has been a firm favourite from the start thanks to his happy attitude in camp. And viewers thoroughly enjoyed his rendition of a JLS song to band member Marvin Humes, 38, on Sunday night.
Using a stick as a microphone, Sam, 31, attempted to lift the spirits of camp after an argument between Nigel Farage and Fred Sirieix that morning left everyone feeling sour.
The pair argued about politics one again, with even Sam getting involved – but still managing to make his campmates laugh in the process.
After his rendition of Everybody in Love, Marvin promised Sam a spot on the next JLS gig and after a challenge that left all the celebs winning letters from their family, Sam was all smiles and said ‘what a great day’.
Fans of the show took to social media X to praise Sam and how he manages to always lift the spirits of his campmates.
One commented: "Sam Thompson is quality. He’s on 100 every second of the day." Another added: "Sam Thompson is a vibe & needs to win."
A third said: "Sam Thompson making every dull day bright. What a b****y gem."
However not everyone agreed, one viewer said: "I used to like Sam Thompson But he is an adult he is 31 and he still functions more like a child than like a grown-up #ImACeleb I find childlike adults off putting."
Grace Dent, who recently left the jungle, added fuel to the fire when she told the Bush Telegraph that there's more to Sam than what we see.
Grace said Sam seems '"childlike" and she has a "sneaking suspicion that he is the most intelligent person" in camp. Some viewers thought this was a 'fake' jab butTOWIElegend Pete Wicks, who is also Sam’s best mate, isn't having it.
Pete toldThe Mirror: "Sam is a really intelligent guy, however, he is also a really excitable person. That doesn't mean he's a donut. That doesn't make him unintelligent, he is being his total self and he's like that 24/7.
"It's a lot, but it is part of the reason he is such a great guy. It's the energy you want. Away from friends and family, you need that in the camp."
