ITV Im A Celebritys Sam Thompson gets huge welcome as he reunites with co-stars
Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson was named winner of I’m A Celeb 2023 with Tony Bellew finishing in second and former politician Nigel Farage in third place.
Sam, 31, became hugely popular throughout his time on the show, and was high-up on the bookies list to win from the start.
He won over viewers with his very positive energy, and through forming close friendships with the likes of co-star Tony.
So it’s no surprise he was given quite the welcome upon his exit from the jungle after three weeks.
In a series of very sweet pics, Sam can be seen embracing a number of different co-stars.
He arrived at the snazzy JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa alongside runner-up Tony, with the pair hugging as they were greeted by friends and family.
Sam looked absolutely buzzing to be back with the rest of the campmates as he geared up to celebrate after his win.
In another photo, third placed star Nigel can be seen reunited with his daughter Isabelle and his girlfriend Laure Ferrari.
He can be seen beaming as he holds hands with both as he made it to the hotel.
Runner-up Tony was snapped sweetly lifting up his son Carson, 3, after getting out the cab.
In another photo, his wife Rachael hugged Rochelle Humes, the wife of contestant Marvin Humes, who was the sixth contestant to be eliminated.
Sam’s girlfriend Zara wasn’t present at last night’s finale, with the winner instead being greeted by best pal and number one fan Pete Wicks.
But she showed her support from the pair’s home in west London by throwing a massive jungle-themed viewing party for his friends and family.
As they waited nervously for Sam to win, there was a huge eruption in the room when the news was confirmed.
Zara jumped up to hug Sam's mum, and then hilariously put her hands to her face and screamed, as a friend filmed her.
Elsewhere, it’s been reported that there's likely to be a "bidding war" for Sam following his success on the popular ITV show.
A showbiz insider revealed to Daily Star: "They know Sam is a star. The big bosses are all keeping a very close eye on what he does next because they see him as the next big thing.
"The wonderful thing about Sam is he is just unapologetically himself and that's what people love. He is set to become a very very rich man when he steps outside that jungle life. And not just him, his girlfriend Zara, is expected to do well too, with them seen as the new power couple.
"We know ITV are already working behind the scenes on what they could offer Sam in terms of work and contracts in the hope of signing him up long term, but the BBC will be keeping a close eye too. He is a set to become Britain's golden boy."
