ITV Love Island stars hint at secret engagement with cryptic post during Christmas getaway
Love Island couple Will Young and Jessie Wynter have hinted at a secret engagement after jetting to Australia for Christmas.
Jessie, 26, and Will, 24, have headed to Oz to spend Christmas with Jessie's loved ones after months of travelling around the world together, having visited places including Toronto, Dublin and the Maldives.
It looks like the couple might be celebrating more than just Christmas however, as Jessie, who appeared on both the UK and Australia editions of Love Island, hinted on social media that Will could be set to propose to her.
She shared a photo of her and Will both glammed up, with the farmer sporting a suit while she modelled a red gown.
"Is he proposing or has he just told me to get dressed up for a fancy date while on holiday," Jessie captioned the cryptic post, before adding: "Hmm".
Fans flocked to gush over the couple, with one person writing: "Omg I just can't wait love you guys," while a second said: "You two are my favourite Love Island couple ever. He better propose soon!"
Jessie later fuelled speculation even more as she shared a photograph of a bottle of champagne, hinting that she and Will were celebrating.
Will, who is a farmer, has hinted that he's ready for marriage with Jessie, having told Mail Online in October: “I’ve got plans for marriage, for kids, proposing. I've got plans for it all."
Jessie also agreed, saying: "No, this is the real deal. We are like inseparable. We're soulmates. We're together all the time and we don't really want to be apart at all."
The couple, who met on Love Island 2023, revealed they're spending Christmas in Australia after disagreeing where to celebrate the festive season.
Will shared the news in an Instagram post, writing: "WE ARE IN AUSTRALIA FOR CHRISTMAS. after a long, long time traveling, we have made it back to Sydney, and we both couldn’t be more excited!!"
He went on to add: "When we were discussing where we wanted to do Christmas, we were at a bit of a split decision, I wanted Aus and Jessie wanted the UK. In there end Jessie had to go back earlier than expected and I wasn’t going with her until she surprised me 12 hours before her flight with a ticket for me.
"Family is so important, and ofc Jessie has been in the UK with mine, so I can’t wait to go back to her motherland with all of her family. I have never spent Christmas away from the family, back home + with it being summer time. But I’m happy I can come back to Aus with my 2nd family and make some unforgettable memories. See ya next year England."
