ITV reveals special edition of iconic show amid daytime schedule shake-up this week | The Sun

ITV has announced a special episode of Loose Women will air on Thursday in a schedule shake-up.

Love Island narrator and comedian Iain Stirling and Good Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley will join show regulars Deniase Welch and Judi Love for the first ever Loose Men & Women.

Ahead of the episode, Denise said: “We’re delighted to be able to mix it up with a special Loose Women & Men episode, it’ll be a hoot with us all on a panel together!

"Richard and Iain are two generations of the modern man and we can’t wait to hear their takes on some classic Loose topics in the studio."

There have occasionally been all-male panels under the title Loose Men that have featured the likes of Vernon Kay, Mike Tindall and Roman Kemp discussing topics such as relationships and mental health.

But the sexes have never been mixed for a perfectly balanced male and female version of the show.

In a brief trailer from the programme, Richard laughs: "It's going to be fun this."

The show will air at 12.30pm and comes as the Loose Women cast take part in a nationwide live tour.

Fans can't wait with one writing: "That sounds and looks awesome."

The mixed gender line-up comes after we revealed long-serving panellist Penny Lancaster will no longer appear on the programme.

Mum-of-two Penny, 52, follows stalwarts Carol McGiffin and Saira Khan out the door of the “cut-throat” day-time favourite.

She first appeared in 2014 and featured regularly until September last year, sitting on the panel 105 times.

A source said: “Penny enjoyed doing the show but it requires a lengthy commitment from regular panel members and this is something Penny cannot do.

“She’s touring with Rod and also has family commitments both in the UK and abroad. She could still make a guest appearance.”
