Jamie Lynn Spears quit Im A Celebrity to avoid daughters flying 14 hours
Ant and Dec issue update on Jamie Lynn Spears
Jamie Lynn Spears sensationally quit I’m A Celebrity yesterday, with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly initially noting that it was due to medical reasons as she left the show off-camera.
However, there is widespread speculation about other potential reasons the 32-year-old left the jungle after a rollercoaster of emotions playing out on the ITV show over the last few days.
When she first arrived, the Hollywood star was in tears as she desperately missed her daughters, 14-year-old Maddie and five-year-old Ivey.
Now, new reports claim the Zoey 101 star quit the show to avoid having her daughters make the grueling 14-hour plane journey to see her in Australia.
Friends and family of the 10 initial contestants have been pouring into Brisbane Airport over the past few days, and Wednesday would be Jamie Lynn’s last chance to quit before her daughters made the journey according to the Daily Mail.
This reasoning would echo the singer’s exit from Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test at the beginning of the year.
The American version of SAS: Who Dares Wins saw the mother-of-two quitting after confiding in Spice Girl Mel B that she couldn’t take the harsh conditions for another evening and felt like a “c**p mom” for being on the show.
ITV has reportedly insisted that Jamie Lynn exited the show due to “medical reasons”, after enduring a rollercoaster of emotions over the last few days.
The actress threatened to quit the show a few times during her 11 days in the jungle, over the brutal conditions in camp and desperately missing her children.

However, she seemed to be rallying after earning a full house of stars in the Bushtucker Trial Climb of Cruelty, heading back to camp with a more optimistic outlook and opening up to her campmates about her life growing up alongside her A-list sister Britney.
Shortly before her exit, the actress tried using the disconnected telephone box in camp to make calls and declared: “I hate it here, this is where people go to have the worst days of their lives. Dear God, please help me to make it.”
Jamie Lynn was the second celebrity to quit the show on medical grounds, following food critic Grace Dent’s exit the day before.
