Laurence Fox breaks silence as he addresses GB News remarks
Ava Evans ‘really hurt’ after Laurence Fox’s comments
Laurence Fox has addressed the highly controversial remarks he made on Tuesday’s GB News.
The 45-year-old actor, who had been suspended by the broadcaster, announced earlier on Thursday he would be releasing a video statement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
He had earlier told GB News not to “appease the enemy” who he claimed was the regulator Ofcom.
MPs have called for Ofcom to investigate the channel after Mr Fox made a series of remarks about political correspondent Ava Evans.
At one point he asked: “Who would want to sh** that?” as he spoke to host Dan Wootton.

Ofcom has since received more than 7,000 complaints about the remarks.
Both men have been suspended by GB News and Ms Evans confirmed she had received an apology from the broadcaster.
Dan Wootton’s contract with MailOnline has also been terminated following vile comments made by Mr Fox.
The controversial actor claimed to Ava that no “self-respecting man” would “like to climb into bed with that woman, ever”.
