Naga Munchetty missing from BBC Breakfast sofa in latest shake-up

Naga Munchetty replaced for a second day in a row on BBC Breakfast

Naga Munchetty was notably absent from her usual role on BBC Breakfast this morning and replaced by fellow presenter Sarah Campbell.

Viewers spotted that something was different from usual as Charlie Stayt tends to present Thursday to Saturday instalments with Naga.

However, the 61-year-old was joined instead by Sarah in the latest shake-up in the BBC studio.

This isn’t the first time in recent days that Naga has been away from the sofa, as she was also absent yesterday.

There has been no reason given for her absence and Express.co.uk has contacted the BBC and Naga’s representatives for comment.

However, earlier this week Naga and Charlie were reunited after the latter took some time away from the sofa.

Presenter Ben Thompson had stepped in for Charlie.

Many BBC viewers were delighted at seeing the pair back presenting together and took to X, formally known as Twitter, to voice their reaction.

One person said: “Yep, and may I say Charlie and your good self are the best presenters.”

Naga, unfortunately, experienced backlash from some viewers after interviewing Strictly Come Dancing star Jody Cundy and his pro partner Jowita Przystal.

Some watchers took to the social media platform to criticise her interviewing style.

One person penned: “When will @TVNaga01 realise that if she talks/shouts over what an interviewee is saying, we the viewers do not understand what anyone is saying. Please stop it Naga.”

A second similarly chimed in: “Absolutely unwatchable with you presenting, you’re so stilted, you’re not a natural.”

BBC Breakfast airs from 6am daily on BBC One.
