Nigel Farage told Im A Celeb bosses go to hell over rule-breaking stripping

Nigel Farage has claimed he told I’m A Celebrity bosses to “go to hell” after breaking the rules by flashing his bare bottom in the jungle.

The former UKIP leader gave his fellow campers an eyeful when he stripped off and lathered up in the camp shower early in the series, leaving Josie Gibson stunned as she strolled by and spotted him. “Freaking hell! I wasn’t expecting to see Nigel Farage’s bottom so soon!” she exclaimed.

He has now told the Mirror and other press that he wanted to check for leeches and ended up having a “huge row “over the whole thing. The star said that before the show started the doctor told contestants that personal hygiene was very important in the jungle.

“To be told to check yourself and to be told you must keep clean – and then to be told you can’t take your pants off in the shower struck me as contradictory,” he said.

“I had a huge row. I was told in the interest of taste and in respect for the cameramen and women that I shouldn’t be doing this. I said, ‘Go to hell!’”

Nigel also claimed that I’m A Celeb winner Sam did end up getting a leech on his bottom, saying it was “on his a*** and the sleeping bag looked like a murder scene”. And he said that after that, some other male campers decided to go totally nude for their wash too.

The 59-year-old made it all the way to the last stages of the ITV reality show, taking part in the much-loved Cyclone challenge and then getting through to the final alongside Sam and boxer Tony Bellew. Sam was crowned the King of the Jungle at the weekend, with Tony second and Nigel in third place.

It has been reported that Nigel's pay-check for appearing on the reality show was a whopping £1.5million. He was quizzed about his I’m A Celebrity fee on Good Morning Britain after leaving camp, and said: “Is this the biggest pay-check I’ve ever had? Yes, it is and what on Earth is wrong with that?”
