Panic as Gavin and Stacey stars' TV comeback 'disappears' from BBC without a trace | The Sun

A TV COMEBACK for two Gavin and Stacey stars is in doubt as their show has 'disappeared' from the BBC.

Ruth Jones and David Peet previously announced they were reuniting to film a brand new comedy show.

The Beeb ordered a pilot episode which was centred around Ruth and Rob Brydon's characters

It would seeGaynor and Ray Davies, who are both from Cardiff, introduced to viewers.

Both are two fifty-something newlyweds, each married for a second time.

Gaynor’s first marriage ended when she discovered her husband was unfaithful multiple times.

Meanwhile, Ray's first marriage ended because he was "impossible to live with" – or so his ex-wife often tells him.

Viewers were set to see them give marriage one last go – but this time with each other.

The BBC confirmed the pilot 35-minute pilot episode would land on BBC One over two years ago now.

However, since then there's been radio silence from bosses sparking panic the show has been ditched.

The Sun contacted the BBC for comment.

"Through them we get to see the male and female take on life and relationships as well as the nonsense in the day-to-day."
