Prince Harry wows fans with surprise appearance at Netflix doc premiere
GB News presenter criticised for Prince Harry joke
Prince Harry surprised fans by showing up to a special screening of Heart Of Invictus, his new documentary for Netflix based on the sporting competition.
The Duke of Sussex appeared at the event in Chula Vista, California, to introduce the five-part series as the audience prepared to watch it.
A video shared on Twitter shows Harry, who undertook two tours of Afghanistan, highlighting the hardships that veterans and their families face to serve the country.
King Charles III’s son said: “Tonight, you guys get to see Heart Of Invictus – which has been the last two years in the making – sooner than anybody else, so it will be coming out on Wednesday.
“You guys get to watch it tonight – or at least two episodes – to whet the appetite for the rest of it.”

Harry even joked with the audience, commenting: “It’s nice of you to dress up for the occasion.
“Suits and ties — no? I just want to say a huge thank you for coming out tonight.”
The new documentary sees Oscar-winning filmmakers Orlando Von Einsiedel and Joanna Natasegara follow the competitors, the organizers and even Harry himself on the road to Invictus Games The Hague 2020 – which, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, had to be delayed until Spring 2022.
Netflix shared the official trailer for Heart of Invictus earlier this month and it looks set to take viewers on an emotional journey as they follow the lives of injured service personnel and veterans.
Harry, who is an executive producer for the series, opens the trailer by speaking of the importance of the Games, which aims to inspire, improve and influence the recovery and rehabilitation of those wounded in the line of duty.

He says: “The Games doesn’t focus on what causes the injury but really about the recovery and how to be part of a community again.”
Later on Harry is pictured meeting competitors and saying “everyone is going to struggle at some point”.
Speaking when the series was first announced, Harry said: “Since the very first Invictus Games back in 2014, we knew that each competitor would contribute in their own exceptional way to a mosaic of resilience, determination, and resolve.
“This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year.”
