Stacey caught hunting for murder weapon to save Freddie in EastEnders
Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) has been left in crisis after Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) beat stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) with an iron in recent EastEnders scenes.
Freddie had walked in on Theo trying to rape Stacey and, still reeling from a run in with rapist Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney), Freddie lashed out in defence of her, leaving Theo unconscious and bleeding.
As Stacey and Freddie reeled from his actions and what this may mean for them going forward, it was Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) who came to the rescue, managing to keep a clear head and coming up with a plan.
This plan involved planting a weapon of Theo’s lifeless body in order to make Freddie’s attack look more like self defence.
While Eve was determined to find a weapon herself, Stacey insisted that she had helped enough, and that it was her mess to sort, given that Theo was her stalker.

Eve relented and handed Stacey his house and car keys, and her search began.
When his key failed to unlock the front door, she turned instead to his car, and soon uncovered the horrifying extent of his stalking in the glovebox of his car.
As she searched for a potential weapon, she instead found her own underwear, her missing perfume and an earring she had lost.
Turning her attention to the boot of the car, she finally found a wrench and decided that that would have to do.
Prior to Stacey leaving the scene of the crime, Eve reiterated the importance of not being seen under any circumstances, so, you can imagine the horrified gasp we released when she was interrupted by Bobby Beale and Anna Knight (Clay Milner Russell and Molly Rainford) on her way back.
The pair were searching for Freddie, who had tried to make amends with Bobby earlier in the day, though his friend hadn’t been very receptive.
Now, though, he was determined to put things right, only Freddie was nowhere to be seen.
Trying to keep her cool, Stacey lied through her teeth as she insisted that she hadn’t seen him, keeping the wrench firmly hidden behind her back.
Thankfully, Bobby and Anna soon left without too many questions being asked, but we couldn’t help but wonder if this chance encounter could end up coming back to bite Stacey later.
After calling the ambulance, Freddie was promptly arrested for attempted murder, despite the attempts to make him look innocent.
If the police start asking questions, will Anna and Bobby let slip that they saw Stacey and ruin the alibi she and Eve had created?
