Strictly’s Adam Thomas tributes brother for ‘paving his career
Adam Thomas talks about joining the Strictly line-up
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Adam Thomas paid tribute to his older brother for his career in acting.
In an episode of his Mancs on the Mic podcast alongside his two brothers Ryan and Scott, the former Emmerdale star said: “I think Ryan definitely paved the way for me especially.
“Ryan has always been the entertainer of the family, from as far back as I can remember, even being kids.”
The 35-year-old revealed the trio would always enjoy entertaining and wanted to be the centre of attention all the time.
Adam continued: “Especially for me when you got the role in Coronation Street, it just opened my eyes.”

Interjecting, his twin Scott confessed both soap stars didn’t go looking for fame as they just enjoyed entertaining.
Agreeing, Adam added: “We just loved acting, that’s what we loved and adored and that’s what we wanted to do.
“We didn’t get into this industry for the fame side, which I think nowadays people do see the fame before the job.”
Ryan Thomas first became a household name when he made his debut in Coronation Street as Jason Grimshaw in 2000.

Six years later, his younger brother Adam started his acting career in the BBC school-based drama Waterloo Road as Donte Charles.
Leaving in 2009, the 35-year-old then went on to play Adam Baron in Emmerdale where he stayed for nearly a decade.
Although his character was last seen in 2018 fleeing the country to avoid being sent to prison, it looks as though he’s not opposed to reprising his role.
Speaking to Lorraine earlier this year, Adam had nothing but kind words to say about his former colleagues.
He commented: “You genuinely do become such a huge family, yeah I miss them all so much. Never say never, I would love to go back one day.
“If the story was right, yeah definitely. It’s always held a special place in my heart.”
However, if a comeback is on the cards it’ll have to wait as Adam’s set to make his debut on Strictly Come Dancing this September.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on September 16th on BBC One from 6:25pm
