Strictlys Graziano shares three words Zara McDermott said during her dance-off
Zara and Graziano quickstep to Anyone For You
Strictly’s Graziano has admitted that his partner Zara McDermott said a key sentence that helped them to win the dance-off during Movie Week.
Zara was a contestant on the fourth series of the reality ITV2 programme Love Island and has since gone on to appear on other shows such as Made In Chelsea and The X Factor: Celebrity.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, Graziano Di Prima has shared about the moment they landed in the bottom two and what happened just before they took to the stage to perform in the dance-off.
“If I have to find a positive in it, I think it was the right moment to give a shock to Zara. It was a turning point,” he recalled.
“When they called our name and we went into a room to warm up for 10 minutes, I could see she was thinking, ‘What are we going to do?’ I just said, ‘Hey – you know everything.”

Zara then said a key message which helped spur her on: “I’ve got this.”
The duo then went on to be saved by the judges, so clearly the pep talk worked in Zara’s favour.
Also speaking to OK! Magazine, Zara added: “My mum was in tears because she was just overwhelmed with the whole thing.”
Zara was born in the London Borough of Havering on December 14, 1996. She has a younger brother called Brad, and her parents are called Alan and Karen McDermott.

She shot to fame in June 2018 when she applied to go onto Love Island. Zara only lasted 10 days in the villa before she was ‘dumped’ by her fellow Islanders.
She is the first ever Love Island contestant to compete on Strictly Come Dancing.
During Week Four, Zara and Graziano dazzled the judges with a Viennese Waltz to Brenda Lee’s tune ‘You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me.’
The dance was such a hit that it won over the audiences and the pair have safely made it through to next weekend’s show.
Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One this Saturday at 6:30pm.
