This Morning fans tell Alison Hammond listen as she makes guest repeat himself

This Morning fans have hit out against Alison Hammond after she consistently did not listen to a guest and asked the same question several times.

Hammond, 48, was hosting the ITV flagship daytime show together with Dermot O'Leary on Monday morning (October 23). At the top of the show, the pair were joined by journalist Matthew Wright and former politician and broadcaster Gyles Brandreth to discuss the day's top news stories.

At the beginning of the segment, Gyles complimented Dermot and Alison for a dance the pair did to kick the show off as a way to welcome autumn to the show. Brandreth took a sly dig at Dermot's dancing skills, joking: "There was a touch of the Les Dennis school of dancing right there!" – to which Dermot burst out laughing.

Talk between the foursome then turned to Gyles' jumper, which was branded with a scorpion to mark the beginning of Scorpio season in the zodiac calendar. The sign's typical date range runs from Monday (October 23) to November 21.

Dermot pointed out his jumper and queried: "Should I be asking about the jumper yet or is that going to become apparent later?" Gyles then explained the reasoning for wearing the jumper, pointing out the beginning of the season in the zodiac.

Alison asked Gyles if he was a Scorpio, to which he said no, instead saying he was a Pisces, which runs between February 19 and March 20. The presenter then asked if that was the reason why he had asked what star sign she was before the show went live on air.

"Is that why you were asking me what I was?" she asked. Gyles quipped back: "Yes! Well, because I thought you always gave off the sexy Scorpio vibes," to which Alison was left looking stunned.

The quartet went around the table revealing their own star signs, with Alison being proud to be an Aquarius, which she said: "Aquarians are beautiful people. Very outgoing, like little butterflies – they always come back to you."

Gyles returned to the topic of Scorpio, and branded those born in that period as "very hot". Alison then went on to ask Brandreth if he was a Scorpio again, to which he again denied – insisting he was a Pisces.

Fans of the show watching were quick to take to social media to hit out at Alison for her blunder, with one fan writing: "He just said he was Pisces ffs!" A second viewer quipped: "'Are you a Scorpio?', he just said he wasn't," followed by a GIF telling her to listen.

Other fans gave their thoughts on the discussion as a whole, with one user writing about Dermot's star sign: "Dermot's a Gemini, not surprised…" Whilst a fourth fan branded the segment a "pointless discussion".
