UNIVERSITY Challenge viewers ripped into the show and the host Amol Rajan who they said "ruined" the show and it made them want to "switch off and give up" .
The popular quiz show has returned with a brand new presenter, but it seems fans are not happy.
Amol Rajan replaced Jeremy Paxman after he spent 29 years at the helm of University Challenge.
After watching the latest episode, BBC viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain about the new revived series.
One fan wrote: "I am so disappointed that after years of enjoying #universitychallenge I am giving it up.
"Amol Rajan is awful. He speaks way too fast and mumbles way too much. So sad he's ruined a previously great show."

A fifth added: "Totally agree with you. Cannot understand a word he says. He is not my starter for Ten."

Despite some unfavourable feedback, Amol did have some supporters who thought he did a good job hosting.
One wrote: "Opposite for me. Amol has breathed much needed new life into University Challenge. Long may he continue as Host."
Another added: "I like Amol, he is great, and a vast improvement on shouty Jeremy."
