Gemma Atkinson in no rush to slim down as she shows reality of post-baby body
Gemma Atkinson has proudly showed off her “real body” nine weeks after giving birth.
The actress, 38, who shot to fame thanks to her role in Hollyoaks, welcomed baby number two, a son called Thiago in July. Gemma is already a proud mama to four-year-old Mia – whom she shares with Strictly pro dancer Gorka Márquez.
And now, just nine weeks after giving birth, the Emmerdale star has shared snaps of her body. And she has also told fans how she’s “in no rush” to slim down.

Taking to her Instagram Story on Saturday (September 23), Gemma said: “Since I stopped BF (breastfeeding) at week 5 I've gone back to how I ate pre pregnancy. No more cravings (hallelujah!) so my diet has been clean."
She went on: “Obvs I'm still a long way off my pre pregnancy body and my diastasis recti is still there and visible but mentally I'm feeling good. With Mia it was 10months before I was back to looking how I did. I was in no rush then I'm in no rush now. I'm sticking to eating stuff that makes me feel good and gives me energy (you are what you eat!)"
Gemma shared a selection of photos of her strength-building journey after she gave birth to Mia four years ago. She also uploaded a video of her being open about the stresses of being a mum.
Talking to fans, she revealed how Thiago was having "a meltdown" so she didn’t get Mia to a dance class. The model also quipped how she reckons she has “pink eye” from changing nappies.
“So bearing in mind it was a good 18 months before I was back to full strength, that's why we're not rushing this time,” she revealed. It comes after Gemma opened up about her plans to have a third child after welcoming her son Thiago.
Speaking to her fans on her Instagram Story, Gemma has said that she is ruling out having a third child as she looks after her newborn son. She said: "Thiago is asleep… oh my God. Last night. Brutal. Brutal. We had a Tasmanian Devil in the bedroom and my scar was sore, you know, from picking him up loads.

"But do you know what? It's OK today but I am absolutely wrecked. I am just getting on with it but I know I'm never doing it again." Gemma added: "We hoped for two if we could and we've done. I am never having another kid after this.
“When we had Mia, we said 'if we're lucky we'll do it again' but I'll never do it again." She continued: "No night feeds. I am just getting on with it." Gemma then added that she and Gorka are both happy to not have any more children after having a boy and a girl.
