I’m A Celeb winner Sam Thompson can’t keep hands off Zara McDermott in reunion
I’m A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson has reunited with his girlfriend Zara McDermott after his triumphant stint on the ITV show.
The reality star was crowned King Of The Jungle last week, beating the likes of Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage. Sam instantly became a hit with viewers thanks to his happy-go-lucky attitude and personality in the Aussie jungle.
And on Wednesday (December 13) Sam was back in London at Heathrow airport – where he was greeted by Zara. Instead of inviting Zara to Aus for his I’m A Celeb stint, Sam enlisted his best pal Pete Wicks – who was also on the flight back.

And it’s fair to say the pair had an emotional reunion after spending four weeks apart. Dressed in an oversized cream hoodie and grey leggings, Zara could be seen holding onto balloons while waiting for Sam.
When he finally arrived, the duo shared a long passionate smooch. Sam and Zara then held each other's faces while looking into each other’s eyes before hugging.
Sam previously explained why Pete had flown out to greet him in Aus, instead of girlfriend Zara. According to the Made in Chelsea star, she couldn’t have gone with him due to her taking part in Strictly Come Dancing.
“Pete is going. We've had a few laughs and jokes about this,” she explained in an Instagram post. “But in all seriousness; Sam thought I was still going to be in Strictly (bless him, the optimism), so Pete cleared his whole diary for 2/3 weeks to be there.”
Zara shared a video on her own Instagram of the moment that Sam was crowned the winner as the final aired on Sunday (December 10). It showed the star and lots of family and friends gathered in a room and glued to the television as the programme aired.
Many looked tense, with their hands on their faces. But when I'm A Celeb hosts Ant and Dec revealed that Sam was the winner they all leaped up and started clapping and cheering. Many hugged each other as they jumped up and down in excitement.
"The moment we all found out… OUR KING OF THE JUNGLE!!!!!!" Zara captioned the sweet post.
It comes after The Daily Star Sunday learned there is set to be a “bidding war” over who lands Sam’s signature after the show for ongoing work – which could earn him millions.
A showbiz source said: "They know Sam is a star. The big bosses are all keeping a very close eye on what he does next because they see him as the next big thing.

"The wonderful thing about Sam is he is just unapologetically himself and that's what people love. He is set to become a very very rich man when he steps outside that jungle life. And not just him, his girlfriend Zara, is expected to do well too, with them seen as the new power couple.
"We know ITV are already working behind the scenes on what they could offer Sam in terms of work and contracts in the hope of signing him up long term, but the BBC will be keeping a close eye too. He is a set to become Britain's golden boy."
