A Place in the Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin headed on night out with a friend shortly after receiving cancer treatment.

The property expert, 49, who is fighting terminal lung cancer that has now spread to his brain, is living life to the full as he continues his battle with the disease. The dad-of-three went to watch The Streets in concert and documented his night on Instagram for his 228,000 followers.

Sharing a selection of snaps and videos from the gig, Jonnie revealed he skipped resting to attend and despite being "pretty whacked" afterwards, it was completely worth it. He penned: "What a night! Probs should be resting after radio therapy to my swede the day before but F it right?!

"More about that later. So glad I went especially as he played all the classics. @mikeskinnerltd had the place pumping. Pretty whacked today but worth it. #thestreets #livemusic."

Jonnie's followers rushed to the comments to compliment him on how healthy he is looking and credited him for being an "inspiration." One wrote: "Looking the best I've seen in a while, Jonnie ~ that's always good news… you're doin' something right."

A second added: "You are looking so healthy! Putting on weight, glimmer in your eye! Well done whatever you are doing. Another said: "Go Jonnie, live life to the full. You are such an inspiration to us all young man!!!"

"Looking great Jonnie. Admire your drive so much!" echoed a fourth. While someone else exclaimed: "U are brilliant! Still doing stuff like this, a true inspiration, u look really well too."

Jonnie was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2020 and was told by doctors that he could have just six months to live. The Channel 4 star shares three young sons, Rex, four, and twins Rafa and Cormac, three, with his wife Jessica Holmes. He has chosen not to tell his children about his illness to avoid "confusing" them.

Earlier this year, he opened up about this decision, telling Hello! magazine: “I keep being asked, ‘Are you going to tell them?’ but tell them what? It would be horrible news that they’d have to get their heads around.

"And it would confuse the hell out of Rex – he’s got a shocking enough day coming. Let’s bury our heads in the sand for as long as possible."
