Kate Winslet shares awkward sex confession whilst filming scenes with Idris Elba
Movie legend Kate Winslet has made some thrilling confessions in her time – but one of the more baffling ones surrounded actor Idris Elba.
The Titanic star, 47, once appeared on The Graham Norton Show together with with Elba to promote their film The Mountain Between Us. During their interview, Kate was quick to let fans in on behind the scenes secrets on filming.
Winslet recalled that her co-star was "a little bit nervous" going into the filming of a sex scene with her. She added that the director Hany Abu-Assad was also being prudish, admitting he had never filmed a sex scene previously.

"Everything was moving quite slowly and I'm like, "Right look. We need to really start filming this – what's with all this chat?" Kate said. Hany reported said: "Actually, I'm really kind of nervous; I've really never shot something like this before".
Ever the professional, Kate declared she would take control of filming and dictated where cameras would be during takes. It was during this time that she Idris' raunchy sex confession slip.
She explained: "Idris said, 'Keep your socks on!' and I'm like, 'Keep my socks on? Everything else is off – what's with the socks?'. And he said, 'No. I've got a foot thing'".
Elba explained that he did not want her socks to come off and to see what Kate described as her "hobbit feet". Kate interjected and said that she had what were dubbed "cliff-hangers", as they clung onto the heels she was wearing.
Kate continued: "I have got very, very big feet – and they're not particularly beautiful feet either". She then insisted she would keep her feet inside her shoes for Idris' sake.
"Anyway, so I'm thinking, 'Well, poor Idris doesn't want to see my feet 'cause maybe he just does not like feet in general and that's the whole thing. It's the opposite, ladies and gentlemen – Idris loves feet," she said.
The Hijack star looked visibly embarrassed at Kate's confession, as he scrambled to save face. Fellow guest Chris Rock quickly joined in on the fun, stating: "I can't wait to see this movie".
The Mountain Between Us went on be a stable movie at the box office, grossing a total of $62.3mn. Both Kate and Idris also went on to star in a series of star-studded projects following the release of the movie in 2017.
