Audrey makes decision after son Stephen's death in Coronation Street | The Sun
STEPHEN Reid was killed off after being mowed over by Weatherfield cabbie Peter Barlow.
His mother Audrey Roberts has been trying to get back to a normal life and makes a huge decision next week in Coronation Street.
The Corrie stalwart portrayed by soap legend Sue Nicholls was devastated when her son Stephen died after being hit by a cab with Peter Barlow at the wheel.
Unlike many other residents of the cobbles who figured out this meant Stephen's reign of terror was finally over, Audrey mourned for the devious businessman and even swore revenge on Peter.
However, in a shocking twist which left ITV viewers suspicious of her, Audrey decided to forgive Peter and move on.
Next week, she makes another decision in a bid to move on from Stephen's death and it leaves her grandson David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and his own son Max Turner (Paddy Bever) with their jaws dropped.

The pair are taken aback when Audrey insists it's time she returned to work.
In later scenes, Audrey figures out another way to get back to normal, particularly as she's left to pick up the pieces following Stephen's financial crimes.
Audrey breaks the news to David and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) that she’s selling the barbers so she can afford to buy back her house.
She then explains that she’ll be returning to work in the salon – but one of her most loyal employees will have to go.

Unfortunately, their concerns are discarded as Audrey orders them out of the salon and locks the door.
Later on, David and Maria take up their roles of joint salon managers where they bicker over Vin Diesel the weasel.
