BBC Breakfast fans call for hosting shakeup as Naga Munchetty misses show AGAIN – and 'delightful' replacement stands in | The Sun

BBC Breakfast fans have called for a hosting shake-up after Naga Munchetty missed the show again.

The presenter and journalist, 48, typically hosts alongside Charlie Stayt from Thursday to Saturday.


However, viewers tuned in yesterday to find the anchor was missing from the iconic red sofa.

Instead she was replaced by Sarah Campbell who delivered the news with Charlie, 61.

Naga was also missing from today's programme with no explanation given for her absence.

Viewers have been swooning over Sarah – and are now calling for a shake-up.

Writing on social media, one said: "Well done BBC Breakfast for giving us a break this w/end from the angst and agony of @TVNaga01, and allowing the delightful and delightfully professional Sarah a big red seat!"

A second wrote: "People are saying that #CharlieStayt looks more relaxed if not visibly refreshed today!"

"Sarah. Lovely surprise to see you on the sofa this morning with a huge smile & looking so wonderfully colourful in that amazing dress. I know bringing us the news is a tough job but like all at the BBC you are both professional & human," said a third.

During yesterday's show Charlie Stayt was scolded by his boss live on air after a chaotic interview.

The anchor was joined in studio by actor Ben Miller who was discussing his published books.

Charlie showed interest in one of his books which featured giant, as he told the actor he never knew giants couldn't swim.

Charlie was then told off by the show's boss for going off topic as she tried to steer the presenter back on track.

Stayt revealed: "My editor's just told me, 'I think we're going off-topic.'"
