Big Brother icon Kinga is unrecognisable 18 years after infamous wine bottle incident
Big Brother has made a welcome return to our TV screens, with a new set of housemates set to battle it out to be crowned the winner of the ultimate social experiment.
The hit reality TV show first aired in 2000 and became hugely popular with viewers, with some contestants going on to enjoy lengthy careers in the spotlight including Alison Hammond and Kate Lawler.
There's been dozens of iconic moments to come out of Big Brother, from Makosi's memorable hot tub 'pregnancy' to Nikki Grahame's meme worthy meltdown, and one that we definitely can't wipe from our memory is Kinga Karolczak's wine bottle incident.
Kinga entered the Big Brother house in 2005 as a late arrival and she instantly caused a stir among her fellow housemates, who she clashed with regularly.
Kinga, who was 20 years old when she starred on the show, hit the headlines when she appeared to pleasure herself with a wine bottle in the Big Brother garden, as her co-stars watched on. The moment went down as one of the most shocking in reality TV history, and made Kinga one of Big Brother's most memorable contestants.
She previously spoke about her x-rated antics, explaining how she'd been given quite a lot of alcohol and didn't actually do anything with the wine bottle.
Speaking in 2012, Kinga said: "On Big Brother they want you to go crazy so give you loads of alcohol. And drinking makes me behave like a completely different person. So, I just put the bottle between my legs, ran into the garden and did it again. I know I didn't even lift up my nightie. I didn't have sex in the pool or in the house, but everyone's labelling me as the slapper."
After leaving the Big Brother house in fourth place, Kinga attempted to carve out a career in the spotlight. She made an appearance in Charlie Brooker’s E4 show Dead Set, playing a zombie version of herself, and also starred in a low-budget movie with Lee Latchford-Evans from Steps, called Cash and Curry.
She also did the rounds on various TV shows including Big Brother’s Little Brother, Big Brother’s Big Mouth, The Charlotte Church Show and The Sunday Night Project.
Kinga then launched her own YouTube channel, The Kinga Show, where she kept her 1,400 subscribers updated about her weight loss, makeup and fashion purchases.
It appears the YouTube channel is no longer active, but old clips show Kinga looking worlds away from her Big Brother days having swapped her blonde locks for a brunette colour.
