Bill Bailey still close with Strictlys Oti Mabuse as he drops baby name hint

Bill Bailey revealed he is still close to his Strictly Come Dancing partner Oti Mabuse.

The comedian, 58, appeared on the BBC competition in 2020 and was crowned champion alongside the 33-year-old South African dancer.

During an interview on Loose Women on Wednesday (September 6), the actor discussed his time on Strictly, recalling it was a "strange" experience because it took place during Covid.

It meant he would spend around 12 hours a day with Oti before returning home, repeating the process during the entire competition as people had to remain in certain bubbles.

Asked if he is still in contact with Oti, Bill simply responded: "Oh yes!" before confirming he has suggested baby names for her to use.

He joked: "Bill. for a boy, obviously and Bailey if it's a girl."

Last month, Oti announced she was expecting her first child with husband Marius Lepure, who she married in 2014.

The Dancing on Ice judge shared the exciting news at the end of her ITV show, Oti Mabuse's Breakfast Show.

In the closing segment of the show, Oti said: "Speaking of things that you didn't know at home, we have a little something for all of you, we've been holding some good news.

A delighted Marius, 41, chipped in "Very good news, yeah. We're having a baby!"

Later, Oti shared a photo of her blossoming bump on Instagram, gushing: "Our “yes” year is getting better and better and so is our little family.
