Coronation Street boss ‘confirms’ Daisy and Daniel ‘come crashing down’

Coronation Street: The Barlow’s interrogate Peter

Coronation Street boss Iain MacLeod has teased that Daniel Osbourne (played by Rob Mallard) and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) will inevitably struggle when her affair with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) is exposed.

Official spoilers reveal that in upcoming scenes Daniel goes on about their house move as Daisy does her best to appear enthusiastic.

Jenny Connor (Sally-Anne Matthews) urges her to think carefully about what it is she wants before she signs anything and causes more damage that she has already done.

Elsewhere, Ryan is chuffed when he receives a message from Crystal Hyde (Erin Austen) telling him she’s watched his livestream and owes him an apology.

She soon suggests they go for a drink, but will Ryan agree? Can he get past his feelings for Daisy considering she turned him down at the hotel?

Making his decision, Ryan reveals that he’s seeing Crystal again later but Carla Connor (Alison King) warns him she’s nothing but trouble.

Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) however tells him he’s pleased as it might stop him from interfering in Daisy and Daniel’s relationship.

Is Crystal going to be the one who stops the affair or pushes them closer together?

Corrie boss Iain MacLeod recently spoke with Express.co.uk and other press and teased that Daisy and Daniel’s relationship will come crashing down as the affair is exposed.

He explained: “I love this love triangle and I veer week to week from being team Daniel and Daisy to being team Ryan and Daisy, I think that is really unusual.

“It has been so organic from the start and I entirely understand Daisy’s feelings for Daniel and where they come from and the depth of those.

“But I also understand the depth of feelings for Ryan and going through this terrible ordeal and I honestly don’t know who I am rooting for, I have divided loyalties.

“But suffice to say it ends up in a right pickle and Daisy’s feelings for Ryan can’t go undiscovered by Daniel forever so he does indeed cotton on to what it going on between these two and their feelings for each other and the betrayals they have committed behind his back.

“There are a lot of tense sequences where Daniel starts to put all the pieces together, but in the end, it all comes crashing down, and some big dilemmas for Daisy.”

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
