Corrie real life couple take break away from ITV soap as co-stars rally round
Coronation Street’s real life married couple Sally Carman and Joe Duttine have shared snaps from their romantic getaway.
Sally, who plays Abi Webster in the ITV soap, first struck up a relationship with Tim Metcalfe actor Joe in 2018. The pair then got engaged two years later and tied the knot in July 2022.
Heading miles away from the famous cobbles, Sally and Joe recently enjoyed a trip to Norfolk and brought along their dog. Taking to her Instagram on Wednesday (September 27), Sally gave fans a peek inside their break.

In the first snap, Sally could be seen cuddling up next to Joe while posing on the beach, with a beautiful blue sky in the background. A wind-swept Sally rocked a pair of sunglasses while Joe kept himself warm with a jacket and cap.
The other pictures showed the pair out and about with their pooch on their trip. In one snap, Sally posed with the dog while having a bite to eat out in the town.
While the final snap showed Sally standing on the beach and writing a message in the sand. In the caption, Sally penned: “Figgy very much enjoyed his holiday in case you were wondering.”
Sally and Joe’s followers were left swooning over the post – including their Corrie co-stars. Lisa Swain actor Vicky Myers wrote: “Gorgeous! Figgy, I mean. Glad you all had a fabulous break!” Gushing over Sally’s longer new hair, Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie Plummer, penned: “Omg love the length.”
Fans also rushed to the comments section, with one proclaiming: “Lovely couple lovely place love Norfolk.” Echoing their thoughts, a second said: “You look great Sally. Beautiful couple.”

While they both might be married to other Weatherfield residents on screen, in real life, Corrie stars Joe Duttine and Sally Carman, who plays Abi Franklin, are married too. The couple have been together for five years since meeting on the set of the show in 2018.
And in 2020 the pair confirmed their engagement. When they were planning the wedding, Sally told the Mirror: "I’m obsessed with Christmas, so when Joe said: ‘What’s your favourite time, when would you most like to do it?’ it had to be Christmas."
However, due to extended pandemic induced restrictions the wedding was placed on hold. Fast forward to July last year and the couple finally tied the knot at a lavish ceremony at St Philip's Church in Salford.
